Tim Lyons

I started tutoring in Plymouth where I lived for some time after graduating at Southampton University. I have now moved away, nearer to London, but have continued to tutor. I tutor a mixture of face-to-face and online lessons here, but still see students from Plymouth with online lessons. I have experience of working in secondary schools but have now chosen to tutor full-time.

I have been tutoring since 2007 with students from ages 5 to 50; however, I mostly help teenagers with their SATs, GCSEs and A levels in all of the three core subjects: maths, science and English. I often see a student through all these exams, providing stability and continuity for these sometimes-stressful times.

I thoroughly enjoy my subjects, getting to know my students and enabling then to enjoy learning and the results of greater understanding; my aim is to increase everyone’s understanding of everything!
