Greg Western

After gaining a BEd Honours degree in Primary Education I embarked on my now-12-year teaching career, teaching in a range of locations including London as well as many schools in and around Devon and Cornwall.

Prior to my work in schools, I served seven years in the Light Infantry, serving around the world, where I gained proficiency with a range of leadership, communication and motivational skills. It was upon leaving this career that I decided to return to education to gain my qualification to teach.

During my teaching career I have worked across the Key Stages, working with a wide range of educational professionals. I was nominated for South West Digital Educator of the Year and ran a number of projects which enabled my classes to appear on shows such as Newsround and local news stations. I have also produced and directed children at the Theatre Royal and have a range of sporting coaching qualifications.

Another position I have experience with and have greatly enjoyed is that of a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo). I have a PG Cert in Special Educational Needs and my work in this role has provided me with a vast knowledge of teaching children of a wide variety of abilities and ages.

I now work solely as a private tutor as I feel that this provides a great opportunity for me to truly help the child in front of me, and to continue my passion of nurturing and educating children to help them succeed and reach their goals.
